Nice shout-out to the Gator! A buddy and I waited outside Fenway overnight as 13-year-olds for ALCS tix.

You, Marty, and Klemmer remind me of Greenwell, Burks, and Dewey!

if WEEI does move Jones and Keefe to PM drive, they need to move the producers too. it's one of the few shows I listen to consistently, and you can tell that all four of them love working together and it makes the show so much better.

Disappointed that you failed to mention that Arcand managed to scrape out a tie with SportsHub in the PM slot. Coincidence that that used to be your slot? No Arcand isn't great, and you were FAR better. But he's more listenable than almost anybody else at that station right now (unless he's goes on one of his forced rants...). At least he talks about...what's the word I'm looking for?... oh yeah, SPORTS. Is it Audacy that is forcing all these weak, childish, spoon fed themed segments/contests/comic skits in virtually every time slot? Audacy, please stop. Add all the sugar sweet condiments you want, but if there's no actual beef in that burger, we're leaving (for you slow execs, the "beef" = "actual sports content"). The Big Show was frat boy idiotic, but it had at its core, REAL sport discussion and analysis.

Anyway, I'm almost glad that folks are finally realizing that apart from Hill himself, the morning show team are just cold, weak tea. J&K has reached their hard ceiling. And I can't figure out PM drive either. Certainly not fine dining, but like a fast food burger it fills the empty space and I keep going back. Hope you get back on the air someday somewhere Mutt.

Come on, Ted. Why would I care if he does well or doesn't? The fact is, WEEI does not view that as his show during Sox. He does not get a bonus for the summer book because it's 70% Red Sox. I had the same deal, as did other night hosts. His pregame show was 17th in the summer.

He's in a tough spot - has a terrible lead in from 2-6 PM and almost no support or promotion from management. But I'd say the Sox Tied Joe Murray, not Arcand.

WEEI afternoons is just brutal radio. Andy Hart has no business being a lead host or on the radio period. Just a weird show where one host is constantly at home broadcasting and the other shows up late every day after all their big interviews for the day are done. I see no way this show is on the air more than a couple more months.

We agree 100%...yet, on it rolls. No Ted Johnson - a former Patriot - on PATRIOTS MONDAY...is like a parody of a radio show. Crazy,

Mut, couldn’t agree with you more on EEI Afternoons but couldn’t disagree more on the quiz game. That was fantastic content and nice change of pace from the Belichick bashing that constantly occurs with Ted Johnson derailing almost every show with it

Thanks for commenting, Austin. Yeah, not for me. I don't even need the bashing, it was the biggest story of the day and I wanted reaction to it!

Is it possible that they’re tanking WEEI on purpose so they can format change to music or something else? These numbers are crazy bad. I agree with everyone else, the afternoon show is crap. No chemistry at all. If I owned that station and wanted to keep sports I’d be calling the Big O or Kirk Shamis Minihane and backing up a truckload of cash and freedom to do as they please. Honestly, how on earth does this station roll on week after week and month after month, just crashing the ratings? HOW?

I don’t think they’re tanking. They MIGHT be betting that Beasley is in financial trouble. They had to sell a bunch of stations in Florida. Could Audacy buy a few Boston stations or could the two merge? All zero source ramblings but a thought , Chip.

That’s just as good a guess as any Mut. I wasn’t aware that Audacy was in a better financial position than Beasley
