If Rodgers was pro-vaccine or kept his mouth shut like 99 percent of other athletes, this would not be a story. But Rodgers + COVID + McAfee (another loud, boisterous individual) and you get these media outlets having a field day.

I'm curious how much Bill Belichick gets paid for his weekly spots. It has to be a strong number considering that has to be his least favorite part of being an NFL coach.

I agree in the vax thing. I think that's a big part of it.

Bill gets a lot.

First off, great Four Pack. Second, I don’t care how much an athlete or coach gets paid for their appearance on a show…I always assumed they did, otherwise why do it. Hell I’d be a guest for Sox tix too! Just saying. This brouhaha over Rodgers is forced hot takes at its worst in my opinion. Interesting that so far nobody wants the Sox job. They can pay me 300K a year and I’ll take over, I’m inexpensive and honestly I feel like like I couldn’t do as bad a job as Bloom did. Again, just saying.

As to my main point. Pete Sheppard is a Boston legend. He could do a show here but live in Florida, that’s why we have technology and I’d listen. He wasn’t always right but he was always entertaining. It was like having a real fan on the show. Love Pete, he’s the best. Here’s an idea you can have for free…The Mut and Meat podcast. That would be tremendous.

Like we always say, good weekend

Thanks, Chip. Pete seemed very happy in Florida but he'll find a spot somewhere for sure.

I still enjoy the Boomer and Valenti show more than Nick Kotsos...

10+ years later and F/M don’t care about baseball.

The Pat/Dark Place story is interesting because ESPN is losing money, cutting staff and leaving studios, but has enough cash for Pat and Dark Places. I know how budgets work but it’s still a bad look.

Have not heard Boomer and Valenti this season. Is that still on EEI on Fridays?
