I'm curious. If you were Mike Thomas, what would you do to fix the situation that WEEI is in? obviously a lineup change is coming (I would expect the Tuesday after MLK Day) but are you just shuffling? Are you stealing McCarthy from 98.5? are you grabbing guys from out of market?
Everytime I listen to WEEI recently, I come away with feeling there is almost no chemistry between the hosts. Greg Hill is fine but Wiggy brings nothing to the table IMO and C. Cox isn't very engaging either. Their producers have way too much airtime. Jones/ Keefe are fine, not great or terrible. Feel like they could use a 3rd person. The afternoon is a fiasco. I'd blow it up and start over. The thing is, I don't necessarily love some of the shows on the HUB but clearly there're connecting with their audience.
Do these numbers include streaming? I listen in florida and only to weei. Admittedly loyal to a fault. Listened to this station since i was a kid and now im 51 and moved to florida. The only tolerable one in my opinion in Zo. I cant stand listening to the whining in the afternoons (happy they left eei years ago) and the morning show is so horrible at 98.5. I hate everything sports hub and cannot understand why it is so popular.

Shocked Jones and Keefe doesn’t do better. Zo and Beetle has dropped off so much since Hardy left. I like McCohn but him and Beetle are so plain and boring.
The bottom line on the sports radio “battle” is that 98.5 has a better product, the line up, and so we go their to hear good takes, or hot takes and WEEI just isn’t in our thought process anymore. I’d rather listen to Felger and Mazz breakdown the Pats and the Sox, sorry but Hart, Johnson and Fitzy sucks. It just does. I’ve met McCarthy, I really like him, I would advise him to only go to EEI if it was stupid money and the PM drive show minus the current crew. Team him up with two guys that have strengths he might not have. Maybe a Jones and McCarthy show with Fauria. I just don’t know how you beat Felger and Mazz…their brand is huge in New England.

Cole...there's no easy answer. The brand is broken. McCarthy is better on baseball than anyone they have; he would help, in my opinion.
If Mike Thomas is higher on keeping Ted Johnson vs Fitzy he should be fired.

Your are so out of touch. Hardy is fantastic and Fred's ratings speak for itself. Living in Florida you don't understand. WEEI is the Worst

Yeah Chip and the WEEI brand is broken. There's no easy answer.
