Enjoyed read the Stack!! But no Tampa Bay Derby picks? Next Saturday brings as the Virginia Derby on dirt a prep for the run for the roses in May!! Any thoughts on who is heading down there to try to steal a spot in the gate for the Derby? Should be interesting!! I think it might be a 9 furlong 1 turn race? Not positive on that. Hope to see you down there!! Keep cashing not trashing!!
Thanks for reading and the note - full Tampa Bay Derby thoughts tomorrow in the Derby Trail post. Looks like a great card. I saw Baffert is shipping Gaming in for that race. Keep cashing not trashing...LOVE IT
Heinsohn was great as player, coach, and broadcaster and definitely should be in HOF for all three. I still remember being in the balcony at the Garden in 1957 for all the C's playoff games. In the game seven final of the finals, Big T scored 37, Russell grabbed 32 rebounds, and Cousy had 11 assists. C's win in double OT. Heinsohn and Russell were both rookies. Heinsohn won rookie of the year, a fact made possible because Russell missed at least a couple of early months of the season competing in the 1956 Olympics in Australia. Great article about that here: https://hoopsanalyst.com/bill-russell-v-tom-heinsohn-and-the-1956-57-roy/
Anyway, another great Mut Stack! Enjoy them all. (And boo to the casino for no race book - stupid!)
I don't follow Hockey like I want to because it's too fast for me lol, but when I saw Marchand traded, I did feel a little something. I know he is a notorious douche-canoe but, long time here.
I don't watch spring training because who really does but, unless Raffy has significantly increased his defense, idk why he would want to keep playing 3B when he's made little to no improvements and is consistently ranked one of the worst defenders, not to mention he makes about the same as Arenado and ya know, 10 straight gold gloves and all. Bregman is great but I agree, making him play another position because of Raffy. Dude needs to be humble and accept what his manager says. Team comes first, not him.
Still haven't gotten into to the horse stuff but I did break my leg last month so maybe I'll have some time lol.

Yeah, Colonial's dirt track is 1¼ m, the only one in the US. So 1⅛ races start from a chute on the back stretch.

Tommy not already being in the HOF as a broadcaster is insane. Head looks great Mut!
Agreed, DTH. Hopefully, soon. Thanks for note!

ASal, thank you. Look forward to the next Sox post.
GREAT take on Heinsohn! Those of us old enough to remember the horrible 90's teams, tuned in to hear him and Gorman.
Sure did, Scotty. Thanks for the note!
