Missed ya last week, things have been a little hectic and lots of traveling with new career direction.
Anywho, I have had the time to tune into some WEEI during the morning, midday and afternoon drives and holy fucking shit dude.... holy fucking shit was it so miserable. I couldn't handle more than 10 minutes of the nonsense.... Morning, I used to love the hillman morning show of AAF, who didn't? Idk what changed but he is unlistenable now, they didn't even mention sports at all both mornings I tried.
Midday was another boring trope about weight-loss and what awesome food they could still eat, like I get it, some of y'all used to be fat and now you're not. I have been hearing about that weight-loss program for like 5 years now, but it is not surprising that EEI wouldn't have any different sponsors.
Afternoon was almost OK, I liked Christian better when he had, more skilled cohosts. Now I feel he tries too hard, and his opinions don't feel genuine. Then Mego started talking and it was time to switch.
I also genuinely do not know how Felger and Mazz is so popular, maybe they've improved, although lol, but I almost found myself asking who the fuck these dudes think they are. Idk maybe it's me. I don't even know where to go for sports talk now, it is disappointing.
Sorry for the rant lol, but ever since EEI made those changes a while ago, hasn't been the same. It sucks ass.
Poor Andy Gresh had to work with someone who didn’t play football. Hart wasn’t much better in the afternoon telling the host not to be so negative about the Patriots.
Yeah he’s unfortunately on the list of people that attended the Mayo Cocktail Party where everything was off the record. I guess braised short ribs made a lot of people happy.
Thomas and Laird make weird decisions. Celtics and Bruins in the playoffs but they put football people as fill ins. They have a ton of online people they pay peanuts who watch more hoops then some employees.
I will give them some credit, then did bring back some postgame/late night reaction shows. One benefit of Wiggy tanking in Brockton is that they got Lyons who seems to watch sports over Netflix shows.
Was hoping for more reaction to the Brady roast! As a non-Pats fan, but Pats-admirer from Chicago, I thought it had to have been kind of surreal to see all of these guys in one place, busting each others balls.
Can't imagine what a Michael Jordan roast would've been like in the year 2000, with Scottie, Phil, Dennis and Jerry Reinsdorf all on the dais.
The Brook does look pretty sweet.
Another fascinating Friday Four Pack is in the books.
The Brady/Belichick/Kraft stuff was fun to watch. Bill didn't seem to hide his dislike of Kraft and the Apple Doc joke was one of the best of the night. Good from Brady to taking all those shots from everyone then firing back. A+.

I'd double-check that with Gilroy.

Good looks.

Missed that, Jon.
