Part of our Two Minute Pick Saturday went something like this:
“If Rhyme Schemes runs his last race, they’re all running for second.”
And that’s exactly what happened in the G2 Saratoga Special.
Not sure what the Beyer for Norm Casse’s fast two-year-old, but he certainly came close to the 94 he ran last time out at Ellis. He CRUSHED yesterday, winning by almost 10 lengths, just like in his maiden breaker at Ellis.
Update: 86 Beyer. Solid.
The winner had some trouble at the start but it didn’t matter.
Edified, our selection, lost all chance at the start when he got sideswiped by #4 Haul. He takes big contact three different times and lost about five lengths to the field thanks to that bumping early and was never a factor after that.
Draw a line right through that effort. And go watch the head-on. In fact I’ll include in the video below.

In the Fourstardave, what’s left to say about Casa Creed? What a horse. 8-5-0-2 lifetime now at Saratoga. Annapolis got the setup he wanted and the jump on Casa Creed, but it didn’t matter. Awesome.

Some other ideas today
Race 6: #7 Shimmering Allure could be set to run a top race in his third career start.
Race 8: Slight lean to #3 Dreamlike in fun race.
Race 10: A 5-4 exacta box for me. #5 No Nay Never should be flying late in a quick race.
Good luck if you’re playing!
