Need Some Money (5/2) able to get it done on the dirt against mostly turf horses. Shorter price than we had hoped, but we’ll take the $7.70 on top.
Tom Amoss now 5 for 11 at the meet: he came to Saratoga for more than TV duties with Fox.

Not enough time to get into this line below in bold, but Chuck is on to something.
Race two and three were dirt races decimated by scratches. Four horse maiden $40000 and $16000 claimers are bad for business at any meet, at anytime, but especially at Saratoga with its large captive audience (paid attendance on Wednesday was 25,321). Fundamental issues exist on the backsides across the country that are being made worse by unfettered and magisterial regulatory rule but that’s a story for another time.
Safety first, but you get the sense trainers are starting to question the avalanche of horses being vet-scratched. I know serious players are.

Some other ideas today - in addition to our winner yesterday the Wednesday post had some winning ideas.
Race 3: #4 Rough Draft did not break all that cleanly last time and might be in front early. 6-1 seems very fair.
Race 6: #10 King James has some back dirt races that are okay and will not be the favorite.
Race 10: Brain says #1 Russi but have to also mention the son of the great LaVerdad #12 Prince of Truth.
