The Red Sox taking over the booth reads like they’re going to try and push hard as its own media group. Pretty soon you’ll have to pay to get any of their games. The less connections and responsibilities to other media groups the easier it will be, especially if Linda starts utilizing the Globe.

OK, first of all, thank you Dan for pointing out the obvious...Ted may have an issue, as I haven't sent a message like that in 18 years, and nothing good happens at 3:43 AM, or whatever it was. I heard when he said his 10% take when it was live, and I thought "oh...that's cute". Brain moved on. This take has gone national?!
I also think that Ted is doing everything he can to NOT be Wiggy, because Wiggy is the show clown...a license to say anything is not necessarily a good thing...it probably means that nobody takes anything you say seriously...I think Laird's efforts to rid the station of meatheads - Gresh being his final victory - has swung too far the other way. 'EEI is becoming so cerebral, and to be honest with you, the thing that confuses me the most - not to be superficial here - but the absence of a premium being put on their talents' actual vocal quality. I don't need everyone to be Joe Buck, but since when is it ok to have radio sound like a recording of the CHS Chess Club?! OK, I like Jimmy's (afternoon producer?) thick Boston accent, but some of the people reading "trending" sound like my high schoolers' friends...does WEEI accept walk-in auditions, because I swear I could do better.
And yes...Nick Kostos (one of 'eei's biggest shining stars, and he works for Bet MGM🤣) needs to blow up big on the scene and be that national spokeperson for fast-talking, witty Brooklyn-esque betting poster boy that can entertain the pants off you.
