So many WEEI notes (kind of love it in a perverse way). Jones and Keefe is far and away the best show on that station now, and their chemistry really feels great. Comparing them to the afternoon show though, it feels like management stumbled into that success in spite of all of their bad instincts. Hart is fill-in talent, Fitzy is dreadful—and what’s with every hack comedian on sports radio needing to make a bad joke every other sentence?—and Ted Johnson is as multidimensional as a piece of drywall.
You’re right though, leave Jones and Keefe where they are. But just scrap the afternoon show altogether. Get rid of it completely and don’t replace it with two weekday wannabes who can’t cut it on the air every day. Find someone original and interesting again.
I feel badly for Andy Hart. He seems like the only one who takes his full time job seriously from 2-6.
Part Time Ted has a hard time following along during a segment and it’s seems like he thinks of interview questions off the top of his head. Remote Control Fitzy spouts every cliche he’s heard along with Stacey James’ cue cards.
A move of Ken and Curtis would make financial sense but I don’t think half of that team can change their schedule. Ken is like a budget version of Tony Mazz.
I knew I heard something about that last win being a real setback for the organization, but I guess I didn't realize how much, although not as bad as the Maverick's GM. OL's going first always puzzle me because I do not watch college football but, from what I have seen, generally OL's picked early are successful orrr get hurt. Gotta have the lines set, the niners drafted like 3 more DLs lol. I keep trying to get excited about the red sox, but it's so hit or miss. I will reiterate that Jarren Duran is the true leader of this team, especially after that steal of home. This dude has the energy and umpf we need in that clubhouse. I will die on that hill and if they ever consider moving him, Baltimore isn't far away, and Camden yards is beautiful.
Sports radio sucks so much ass right IMO. The only redeeming thing for WEEI is the hillman morning show but, as a younger dude who grew up with them on WAAF, the show has declined IMO.
Also, I don't remember "Mut @ Night" having such low ratings...but alas.

Jon! Fitzy will go minutes without getting a chance to speak when he's remote...it feels like his co-hosts are squeezing him out in some segments.
