MutStack Podcast - The 2024 Belmont Stakes at Saratoga Roundtable

A historic venue hosts the close out to the 2024 Triple Crown season

We’re not in Elmont, NY anymore.

No, the site of this year’s (and next year’s) Belmont Stakes is 267 Union Ave in Saratoga Springs, NY at Historic Saratoga Race Course.

With both the Debry winner and the Preakness winner in the field, a different venue for the final leg of the 2024 Triple Crown, PLUS four days of great racing - there is much to discuss.

Back again are friends/guests Jessica Paquette and Dick Jerardi.

Jess is the voice of racing at Parx and bets mostly longshots. She has been on fire on this podcast, handing out a 47-1 winner on the Derby undercard. And then pushing winner Sieze the Grey at 9.80-1 to win the Preakness 🔥🔥🔥

Dick is one of the best handicappers in the country and over the years has picked countless winners with us and in big-money tournaments. He told us it was a bad edition of the Preakness in 2023, but that National Treasure would win. He was right.

No pod spoilers, but we’ve all tabbed top choices that are double-digit odds on David Aragona’s morning line. At least in the selections, we’re not chalking out this Belmont Stakes.

If you’re playing Thursday, Dick likes #8 Gray Lightning in the Jersey Girl Stakes. It comes up as Race 4. Hopefully, we can get a winner to get this Belmont Festival off to a good start!

We have picks for all four days of racing on the podcast.

If you’re a racing fan, please feel free to share with other racing fans. It’s a big help to me and the newsletter/podcast.

We’ll have some Belmont Stakes thoughts in the Friday Four-Pack tomorrow. And a full Belmont at Saratoga newsletter on Saturday morning, including a picks grid from this podcast for the Pick 5.

Thanks for listing and good luck this weekend!
